Zain Gives To Zimmerman Presby School
Zain Ghana has donated teaching aid and books to the teachers and children of Zimmerman Presbyterian School at Abokobi in the Greater Accra Region.
The donation was a demonstration of the company’s commitment to help develop Ghanaian children through education.
Carmen Bruce-Annan, the Corporate Communications Manager of Zain Ghana who presented the items urged the management of the school to put the books to good use.
The donation he said was part of Zain’s ‘Build Our Nation’ initiative which supports government schools with limited teaching resources.
‘Build Our Nation’ is an activity which is carried out in all the countries where Zain is present.
Mr. Bruce-Annan said since the launch of the company in December last year it had liaised with the Ministry of Education and members of local governments to create a database of deprived government schools in the country.
Mr. Simon Adjetey, headmaster of the primary section of the school expressed appreciation to the company for the support and pledged that the items would be used judiciously.
