Fresh students have been admitted by the University of Cape Coast (UCC), to pursue Sandwich programme, swearing the matriculation oath as part of the admission formalities at the university’s matriculation recently.
In all, 1,561 students, comprising 1,001 post-graduates and 560 undergraduates, were formally admitted, to undertake diploma, first degree and postgraduate courses in the 2010/2011 academic year.
They took the oath, pledging to abide by the rules and regulations of the university.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang advised the students to study diligently so as to justify the huge investment being made in them by their parents.
She warned that the university will not hesitate in sanctioning students who deliberately flout the mutually agreed rules and regulations.
