Rev. Yeboah-Antwi Heads Akropong College Of Education

The Reverend Samuel Yeboah-Antwi, has been inducted into office as the Principal of the Presbyterian College of Education, at Akropong Akuapem.

The president of the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, Rev Dr Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, who conducted the induction service urged him to demonstrate good leadership qualities like his forerunners, and make the college the best in the country. 

He entreated the Rev Yeboah-Antwi to use his rich experience, to facilitate national development, through the products of the college. 

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Right Rev. Professor Emmanuel Martey, admonished the principal to be strong and continue to seek the face of God, when dealing with the challenges which might confront him. 

He called on both the teaching and non-teaching staff, to co-operate with the principal to develop the college. 

The Moderator appealed to the authorities to ensure that unacceptable practices such as occultism, homosexuality and lesbianism were not entertained in the college, entreating that “any student found culpable should be dismissed”.

 The Vice Principal of the college, Mr Samuel Ofori Aboagye, disclosed that the Rev Yeboah-Antwi is the 24th principal, since the college was established in 1848. 

Rev. Yeboah-Antwi  thanked all for the confidence reposed in him and assured that he would live up to expectation. 

He expressed his gratitude to his predecessors for the solid foundation they laid for the college and appealed to the stakeholders to support the management to move the college to higher heights. 

Rev Yeboah-Antwi holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree from Leeds University and has authored many books. 
 
He is an old student and former tutor of the college.
