The Director of the Prestige Gateway Academy (PGA), Mrs Herty Nancy Sackey, has advised students in the country to be punctual to lectures to enable teachers complete syllabus on time.
She said a lot of students don’t attend classes on time which affects the academic work in various schools.
Mrs Sackey gave the advice at the school’s second graduation ceremony in Accra at the weekend.
In all 48 students, including 30 females and 18 males, graduated and were awarded with certificates in Business Administration, Computer Studies, Accounting and Finance.
Mrs Sackey said measures must be put in place to address this problem.
She said PGA has plans of expanding, by adding more courses to the ones currently running.
“We are looking at the possibility of having an affiliation with a higher institution,” she added.
The director said the school currently has a student population of over 250 from all over West and Central Africa.
She commended the graduands and staff for their dedication to the school.
She advised the students to continue learning to help them acquire more skills in their chosen profession.
“Education has no end; you must continue to study to help upgrade yourselves,” she added.
Mr Eric Abgenyo, the General Secretary of the Institute of Commercial Management (ILM), in his address, said the National Accreditation Board over the years has been doing well to make sure all students enjoy the good education in Ghana.
He said the board also regulates all schools and examination bodies for a good standing.
Mr Abgenyo said ICM programmes are designed to address the wide variety of personal developments and training needs of those wishing to enter the commercial sector and support the continued development of workplace flexibility.
