Christmas is all about God giving mankind the gift of hope.
If you remove hope from a person’s heart, it has the power to make that person sick. This means that if you have no hope for Christmas, then the thoughts of Christmas can make you sick.
The good news is that Jesus came to restore our hope and renew our faith.

The birth of Jesus Christ is the greatest story ever told, because He came wrapped in the greatest love, to bring mankind the greatest hope that, we should live with the greatest joy and peace.

As we enter into the Christmas tomorrow, it behoves Christians to renew their faith in Jesus Christ and avoid practices that are inimical to their survival.

It has been a long, tortuous journey, with many unlucky to witness this day because of death while others may be celebrating the day in hospitals, due to ill health.

We express our heartfelt consolences to the families of the bereaved. And to those on admission in hospitals, a speedy recovery.

While we celebrate the festivity, it is important to remind all concerned about the significance of Christmas and why mankind needs to rejoice on this particular day.

It is about forgetting the bad feelings one may have about others, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

As Ghana joins the rest of the world to mark the occasion, the Times urges all, Christians and other religious adherents alike, to enter the season with love, humility and unity.

Jesus Christ Himself, is a man of integrity, peace, love and above all, kind in all aspects of human life. Therefore, we must allow these attributes to guide us in our daily lives.

While we think it is good to celebrate on this occasion, history is replete with examples of many people over-indulging in their joy and in the process ending up, defeating the purpose of the occasion.

We, particularly wish to advise the youth to avoid the temptation of taking in too much alcohol and engaging in all sorts of negative activities.

Of particular interest to us, is the need for motorists, especially those who drive commercial vehicles, to be mindful of road traffic regulations and the need to observe them.

This country has had more than its fair share of reckless driving, which has brought in its trail untold hardships and in most cases, deaths, and we think that, it should be spared of any more nasty accidents.

As we celebrate Christmas, we appeal to our security agencies to be on the alert and deal with people who might take the law into their hands and misbehave.

We wish Ghanaians and especially our numerous patrons a joyous Christmas and prosperous New Year!
