Kumasi Court Issues Bench Warrant For Robber
A Kumasi circuit court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of a 25 year old man for alleged armed robbery.
Aziz Abdulai, a driver of the Quan Pin Ghana Company Limited, at Obuasi was said to have driven the wife of the director of the company, Monica Wei, to Kumasi, in December 2011.
According to Sergeant Josephine Mensah of the Ashanti Regional Police Public Affairs Unit, Abdulai, on reaching Atasomanso in Kumasi, pulled a knife at the woman and ordered her out of the Toyota Hillux Pick-up with registration number GN 6020-11.
He then sped off with the vehicle which had in it a lady’s handbag, one Nokia mobile telephone, cash of ghc6, 000.00 and other personal effects belonging to the woman.
The police, she said had intensified their search for the arrest of Aziz and appealed to the public to assist with information.
