THE District Chief Executive of Awutu-Senya, Mr Nuhun Adams, has appealed to parents to invest in their wards’ education because it is key to their development.
He made the call at an educational forum organised by the Senya Beraku Youth Association, in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service, under the theme: ‘Quality education is the right key to proper development’.
It was attended by parents, students and pupils, chiefs, assembly members and opinion leaders in the town.
Mr Adams entreated parents to also have time for the children at home and discuss their academic work with them.
He urged students to attach value to their studies to enable them to acquire the right skills, knowledge and discipline to help them to be self sufficient in life.
Madam Augustina Addae, headmistress of Mother Theresa School for Girls, speaking on the topic ‘Education of the deprived girl-child and its benefits’, called for support for such girls to enable them to attain higher education.
