The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Opoku-Manu, has said that the Government would not discriminate in the provision of education infrastructure.
He said the Government would ensure that all school children have access to quality education.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a GH¢56,000 new classroom block for the Rashidiyya Islamic Junior High School at Tetrem, built by the Afigya-Kwabre District Assembly.
Mr. Opoku-Manu asked parents not to over burden children with household chores but to allow them more time to study.
He called on Ghanaians to support government's effort at improving the education sector and appealed to communities to initiate self-help projects to ease the pressure on the assemblies.
The District Chief Executive, Mr. Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, advised the people of Tetrem to maintain the classroom block.
The school authorities appealed to individuals and organisations to assist the school to acquire furniture and teachers' accommodation.
