President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed the a number of distinguished personalities to serve on the Interim Councils for the University of Health and Allied Sciences as well as the University of Energy and Natural Resources Acts, two new public universities.
It follows the promulgation of the law establishing the two new public universities for the Volta and Brong Ahafo regions.
A statement signed by Koku Anyidoho, Director of Communications at the Presidency said the Council for the University of Health and Allied Sciences has Prof. Kofi Anyidoho of the University of Ghana, as its chairman.
Its members are Justice Agnes Dzodzi, Dr. Sodzi Sodzi Tetteh, Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi, Togbe Tepre Hodo IV and Prof. Ernest Aryeetey. -
The University of Energy and Natural Resources’ Council has Prof. Aba Andam as its chairperson. Its members are Prof. Emeritus Elizabeth, Ardayfio-Schandorf, Mr. Paul Effah, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman-Badu, Okofrobuor Dr. Yaw Agyei II and Prof. William Otoo Ellis.
