Golden Tulip Kumasi City has rewarded six of its non-marketing and sales staff for bringing in various volumes of business during the months of August and September.

Ms. Jackie Senoo, Sales Manager of the hotel, stated at the awards ceremony, that the recognition and rewards were being delivered under an incentive programme dubbed ‘Cash the Flight’ instituted to motivate staff outside the Marketing and Sales Department to go out and rope in clients adding that it would be a bi-monthly-event.

The award was co-sponsored by Ashfoam Limited, KLM, Amalgamated Bank and Kwatson Ghana Limited.

The six staff who received the maiden ‘Cash the Flight’ rewards brought in room and banqueting businesses ranging from US$750 to US$9,846.30 over the two-month period.

The over-all winner, Ellen Obeng Amoako, was rewarded with an Ashfoam mattress, pillow and dinner for two, the first runner-up, Eunice Antwi who delivered US$1,897.33 worth of business, received a GH¢1,000 Amalgamated Bank account and branded T-shirt.

The others are Phyllis Boakye, Kelvin Kankan Jennifer Omari and Patience Osei.

At the awards ceremony were the team of Golden Tulip Kumasi City executives led by Mr. Stephen Husbands, General Manager.

Also present were officials from the ‘Cash the Flight’ programme sponsors, Mrs. Nagham Al-Kalmoni, Marketing Executive and Showroom Manageress of Ashfoam; Mr Omar Kwatons, Assistant Manager of Kwatsons Ghana Limited; Mr. Osei Kwadwo, Ashanti Regional Manager of KLM; and Mr. Akwasi Asimeng, Adum Branch Manager of Amalgamated Bank.

In an interview, the over-all winner Ellen Amoako commended the hotel management for instituting the incentive and for recognizing and rewarding the top performers.

She hoped the award winners would not rest on their oars and that other staff would be encouraged to step up their business delivery efforts.
