Dan Owiredu Promoted To Senior Vice President
Mining firm Golden Star Resources has announced the promotion of Dan Owiredu from the level of vice president in charge of the company’s Ghana operations, to that of a senior vice president.
He will continue to be based in Ghana.
In an open letter to the staff of the company, Tom Mair, president and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Star Resources, said that “this appointment is a reflection of Dan’s contribution to the success of Golden Star and an indication of the key role he will play in the future.
“Dan will play will play a critical role in the transformation of Golden Star into a stronger and more effective organically with operations that deliver on their commitments.
We also have an exciting pipeline of development projects in front of us and Dan will assist in the development and execution of a strategy to deliver growth,” Mr Mair added.
The promotion took effect from May 10, 2012.
