Chinese Company Donates Radio Frequency Generator To KATH
The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH), in Kumasi has taken delivery of a Radio Frequency Generator donated by a Chinese company.
Shanghai Hengxin Medical Devices Company Limited, manufacturers of medical equipment in China, donated the 35, 000 dollar base-machine to support the hospital in its health care delivery.
Presenting it, Mr. Yu Shao Heng, Chief Executive Officer of the company said the machine was realized through collaboration between his organization and Ghanaians in China.
According to Mr. Heng, the machine is use for the treatment and killing of Cancerous cells and was optimistic that the hospital would benefit from it usage in treating its patients.
He commended the hospital authorities for the good and quality work being done for health care delivery in the country and assured that his outfit will ensure that some exchange programmes would be instituted with some institutions in China and medical students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Dr Baafour Awuah, the Medical Director who received the machine on behalf of the hospital thanked Mr. Heng and his company for the gesture.
