Dr. Lousia Hannah Bisiw, Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and housing, has performed a ground breaking ceremony for commencement of work on a GH¢140,000 four- unit boys dormitory block for the Techimantia Presbyterian Senior High Commercial School in the Tano South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.
The project is being funded by some public spirited individuals including citizens or the area and benevolent organizations.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony Ms Bisiw, who is a citizen of the area, said the project was rital because it would help solve the acute accommodation problem facing the school.
According to her more classroom blocks would also be built in future to help accommodate more students as the enrolment figures kept increasing each academic year.
She noted that government aimed at giving equal access to quality education to all citizenry in fulfillment of its investment in the youth.
Ms. Bisiw appealed to parents to eke in the government’s effort in providing quality education by ensuring that their wards do not absent themselves from school.
She Commended the Tano South District Assembly from providing more infrastructures for basic school within their jurisdiction.
The headmaster of the school, Kingsford Abraham Hinneh appeals to the District Assembly accommodation for teachers and other staff of the school.
Nana Oti Ampem II, Techimatiahene thanked the deputy Minister and sponsors of the project for their benevolence.
