Atwima-Kwanwoma Welcomes New Pupils
Mr. Tony Nyame, District Chief Executive for Atwima-Kwanwoma, in the Ashanti Region, on Wednesday visited some first-cycle institutions in the district to celebrate the ‘My first day at school’ programme.
The institutions included Foase District Assembly, Foase Methodist, Hemang District Assembly and Bekwaimene District Assembly Basic Schools.
Mr. Nyame interacted with the newly-enrolled kindergarten pupils and advised them to be obedient to their teachers and study hard to become responsible future leaders and citizens.
He presented them with quantities of soft drinks, biscuits and plastic drinking cups.
Accompanied by Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako, the District Co-ordinating Director, and Mr. Francis Akumbuno, District Director of Education, Mr. Nyame also used the occasion to assess the School Feeding Programme in the beneficiary schools, and advised the caterers to ensure that the school children were fed with wholesome and nutritious food.
