The two persons who were found unconscious alongside two other dead people in a house at Teiman near Oyarifa have passed away.
The two, Boye Annang, 33, and Ayi Ayeh Adama, 30 reportedly dead one after the other on Sunday and Monday after battling for life at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
According to the hospital sources, Annang died on Sunday evening while, Adama died on Monday in the morning.
This brings to four the number of people who have died under mysterious circumstances in the house last week.
The Public Affairs Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Freeman Tettey told the Ghanaian Times, on Monday, that the police were investigating the circumstances leading to the death of the four who were said to be watching the match between Chelsea and Bayern Munich last week.
It is recalled that two of the deceased, Eric Nai Kwadai, 63, a former Senior Technical Officer at the University of Ghana Medical School and Nii Ako Ashong, 59, were found dead in the former’s bedroom last week while Annang and Adama were also found unconscious in the same room.
Kwadai, in the company of his driver, went to a funeral at Teiman Ashong and the two later joined them at the funeral where they spent some time and left for Kwadai’s house.
In the course of the match, Kwadai left for the kitchen to prepare rice and stew, with some canned fish and pork he purchased earlier and before the extra time began. The driver left with the two who came to the house later for a nearby liquor shop, leaving Kwadai and Ashong behind.
When they returned, the driver retired to his room, leaving the four to enjoy the food but at dawn, he heard someone banging on the door of Kwadai’s bedroom and woke up to see Ashong’s wife standing there.
She had come to look for her husband because he did not return home, but after knocking on the door several times without any response, the two, with the assistance of others, forcefully opened the door to meet the gory sight.
