The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie who reviewed the parade on behalf of the Mayor of Accra, Alfred O. Vanderpuije, urged them to be disciplined in the discharge of their duties.
“You would in one way or the other be confronted with situations leading to physical exchanges but you must always remember you are there to correct people and not to add to their worry,” he advised.
He warned them against unscrupulous persons who might attempt to bribe and corrupt them stressing that any officer who went against the rules and regulations of the assembly, would not only be dismissed but could also be prosecuted.
Mr. Chaie urged them to exhibit the military discipline imbibed in them in order to help transform the assembly into an effective entity that could meet the challenges of the time.
“You have to translate your training into real performance at your various units by instilling discipline and hard work in your subordinates,” he said.
The MP commended the instructors and commanders of the school for using such short period to transform the trainees adding, “this is the beginning of a standing relationship between the AMA and the school”.
