10 Benefit From Share Foundation Support

Ten pupils from various schools in Tema have benefited from a scholarship scheme instituted by the Share Foundation a non-governmental organization (NGO).

They are Pearl Adu and Benedicta Appiah Gem, Tema Republic Road Basic School, Vivian Banfuo, St. Peters School, Magdline Quansh, SDA Junior High School, Rita Addai, Tema Naval Base School, Rebecca Kabutey, Manhean TMA 2 School, Mary Quaicoe, Adjetey Ansah School, Mary Andam, Anglican 1 Junior High School and School.

At a ceremony held at Tema Manhean, the 10 girls received the share foundation scholarship comprising school bags, footwear, Textbooks and Notebooks.

Ms. Lily Mintah Chief Executive Officer of Share Foundation said the NGO has so far provided 230 school children with scholarships to help them to pursure their education.

Apart from that it has established libraries in Tema Manhean and the Republic Road schools to enable the school children improve their reading skills.

She advised parents to encourage their children to patrenise the libraries and appealed to corporate bodies to support the NGO realize its dream of helping the brilliant but needy students to pursure their education.

In a related development the Rotary Club of Accra – Labone has presented a set of Textbook and stationery valued at GH¢1,200 to share foundation for its library project at Tema Manhean
